Essentially lying dormant for many years, aside from a few horror tie-ins here and there, the future landscape of the silent hill series has remained somewhat uncertain. Luckily, Konami's recently aired Silent Hill transmission has left fans frothing at the mouth in anticipation of a silent hill 2 remake, alongside silent hill Townfall; a refreshingly new terrifying entry in the series.

New Silent Hill Remake Trailer Officially Revealed
To the delight of horror fans everywhere, Konami confirmed that a Silent hill 2 remake is indeed in the works. Developed by Bloober Team, the long-awaited reboot will launch as a PlayStation console exclusive, with the original music composer and creator creator collaborating on the project.
Though entirely cinematic, the Silent Hill 2 remake from a visual perspective looks like a huge step up from the original. Everything from character expressions and animations to aspects of environmental design and detail appears to have received a significant facelift.

New Silent Hill Game Silent Hill Townfall Confirmed
Although brief and still in early development, fans caught a fleeting glimpse of the new Silent Hill game Townfall. Supposedly, an entirely new entry to the series, developed, somewhat promisingly, by No Code, the Glasgow-based studio responsible for the unsettling sci-fi horror Observation, so plenty of suspenseful promise there.
New Silent Hill Movie Announced
Aside from new silent hill games, Konami also confirmed a new Silent Hill feature film on the horror horizon which promises to stick close to the series's original source material, alongside some iconic Silent Hill statuettes of Pyramid Head, protagonist James Sunderland, and Maria.
