New Netflix Horror Series "Wednesday" Should You Watch?

New to Netflix this week is Wednesday, Tim Burton's frightening foray into the beloved Adam's family franchise. The burning question is, should you stream this new Netflix horror series, or is it worth setting aside for a rainy day?

Read on to devour all the gory details.

Containing all the typical bells and whistles of a Tim Burton production, Wednesday (2022) makes for an eye-arousing spectacle.

Equally, Jenna Ortega's magnetic central performance decently straddles the divide between comedy and horror - keeping things, for the most part, freshly compelling.

And although it may lack some of the campy charm beholden of the original while demonstrating a scare scarcity that hardcore horror fans may find frustrating, overall, it's worth watching on the merits of entertainment value and Jenna Ortega's onscreen status alone.

Interestingly, this iteration of Wednesday delivers a decidedly darker affair than previous interpretations. With that in mind, expect plenty of sociopathic narcissism and devilishly dark gallows humor to boot.

Despite some needless dialogue and a bloated script in patches, Wednesday (2022) provides a mostly captivating experience worth streaming.
